An award-winning composer of vocal and instrumental works, Renoir Kobashi (aka Krishan Oberoi) brings an eclectic and inquisitive approach to the creative process. His major works include the dance-drama SNAKESKIN, commissioned by Emmy award-winning choreographer John Malashock, and the 2023 musical Best Time To Be Alive, written in collaboration with Brooklyn-based poet Rhiannon Ling and Bedlam Theatre NYC. 

Krishan's first published work was released in 2022 by Santa Barbara Music Publishing- a choral setting of the poem "Telescope" by British poet Kate Wakeling. His choral arrangements of pop songs have been performed all over the world; favorites include "Chase This Light" by Jimmy Eat World, and Maroon 5's "Payphone".

Renoir continues to push creative boundaries with music and lyrics that are imaginative, clever and inspiring. His influences include Philip Glass, Hans Zimmer, Madonna, Arnold Schoenberg and Weird Al Yankovic.
